Europe Day

Dnia 9 maja, uczniowie gimnazjum i liceum uroczyście obchodzili ważne święto każdego Europejczyka, Dzień Europy. W tym roku, pod hasłem: "Nasze wspólne dziedzictwo kulturowe", obchody rozpoczęliśmy od wręczenia nagród i dyplomów laureatom i wyróżnionym w Ogólnopolskim Konkursie GALILEO z języka angielskiego, a następnie nasi goście- studentki z Rosji opowiedziały o swoim kraju. W kolejnej części każda klasa miała okazję zapoznać uczniów z faktami, historią i kulturą wybranego przez siebie państwa europejskiego. Kolejnym punktem była debata na temat dziedzictwa kulturowego Europy. Nasi uczniowie chętnie zabierali głos i żywo dyskutowali na temat wspólnych wartości i celów przyszłej Europy. Na zakończenie uroczystości, nauczyciele i uczniowie degustowali wspólnie przygotowane potrawy.

On May 9th, the students of KSP celebrated an important event in every European's life - The Europe's Day. This year, the leading keynote of the celebration was the cultural heritage of Europe. We started with announcing and awarding the students who got the best results in National English Language Contest Galileo. Then, we the celebration continued with a slide show and a performance by the students from Russia. Next, each class had an opportunity to present some facts, history and culture of a chosen country of Europe. The debate on European cultural heritage was the next point of the event. Our students were eager to speak and we witnessed a heated discussion about the common values and aims of the future Europe. At the end of the event, everybody had a chance to taste the delicious dishes prepared by our students.
