Nagroda Nike 2019

The Nike Literary Award went to Mariusz Szczygieł for a volume of short stories entitled "Nie ma".

Mariusz Szczygieł zdobywa najważniejszą nagrodę literacką w Polsce. Jury Nagrody Literackiej Nike 2019 nagrodziło jego "Nie ma", złożoną z wielu historii i głosów opowieść o współczesnym człowieku, prawdach najważniejszych, pustce, przemijaniu, tęsknocie, bólu i nadziei.

„Celestial Bodies” (z ang. „Ciała niebieskie”) to historia dojrzewania trzech sióstr mieszkających w wiosce al-Awafi w Omanie.

Yoko Tawada is the laureate of the National Book Award 2018

Yoko Tawada zwyciężyła w amerykańskim konkursie National Book Award. Jej książka "The Emissary" w tłumaczeniu Margaret Misutani została doceniona we wprowadzonej w tym roku kategorii dla książek tłumaczonych. Jej celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na przekłady książek żyjących pisarzy i tłumaczy ich dzieł, zarówno beletrystycznych, jak i non-fiction.

Yoko Tawada won the American National Book Award Competition. Her book "The Emissary" in translation by Margaret Misutani was appreciated in the category of translated books which was introduced this year. Her goal is to draw attention to the translations of books by living writers and translators and their works, both fiction and non-fiction.
