Marcin Wicha, autor "Rzeczy, których nie wyrzuciłem", został tegorocznym laureatem Nagrody Literackiej Nike. Najważniejsze polskie wyróżnienie literackie przyznano po raz 22.
- Nagradzamy pisarza, który pisze o czułości, jakiej na co dzień się wstydzimy. I robi to w taki sposób, że wiemy, że wstydzić się nie ma czego. Opowiada o umieraniu kogoś najbliższego. (...) Marcin Wicha tworzy postać swojej żydowskiej matki, dając portret nas na przestrzeni półwiecza. (...)- mówił w laudacji przewodniczący jury, Marek Zaleski.
The book consists of a collection of essays devoted to the author's memories of his mother and their difficult relationship. The starting point is the time when, after her death, Wicha had to sort out her apartment and decide which of the objects and books belonging to the departed to keep and which to throw away. Objects evoke memories, sometimes cheerful, sometimes painful, but always ... tender.
Chairman of the Nike jury, professor Marek Zaleski said in a laudation: "Wicha writes about tenderness we are ashamed to talk about everyday (...). He shows reality from the inside and shows it in such a way that we, readers from different generations, find it full of our own emotions".
