Autumn trip to Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec

Dnia 26 października nasi piątoklasiści wybrali się na wycieczkę do Kazimierza Dolnego nad Wisłą i Janowca. W programie wycieczki znalazł się godzinny rejs statkiem po Wiśle, podczas którego mogliśmy podziwiać panoramę Kazimierza z górującą nad miastem wieżą obronną i ruinami zamku wybudowanego w XIV wieku przez króla Kazimierza Wielkiego. Następnie „Eko-busikami” wyposażonymi w lektora automatycznego zaliczyliśmy godzinną przejażdżkę po urokliwych uliczkach Kazimierza aż do wąwozów lessowych. W trakcie przejażdżki usłyszeliśmy ciekawe legendy i anegdoty związane z dawnym miastem. Następnie zwiedziliśmy zamek i basztę w Kazimierzu, skąd podziwialiśmy wspaniałą panoramę miasta. Obowiązkowym punktem wycieczki był czas wolny na Rynku gdzie zakupiliśmy pamiątki i spróbowaliśmy słynnych kazimierskich kogutów. Ostatnim punktem naszej wycieczki był zamek w Janowcu, gdzie zwiedziliśmy ruiny obronnego zamku Firlejów. Każdy pobyt na wycieczce daje nam możliwości poznania cząstki naszej historii oraz uroków i piękna polskiej ziemi.

On October 26, our fifth-graders went on a trip to Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec. The programme of the trip included a one-hour cruise on the Vistula river, during which we could admire the panorama of Kazimierz with the defensive tower towering over the city and the ruins of the castle built in the 14th century by King Casimir the Great. Then, we took another ride on "eco-buses", equipped with automatic readers, through the charming streets of Kazimierz up to the loess ravines. During the ride, we heard interesting legends and anecdotes related to the old town. Later we visited the castle and the tower in Kazimierz, from where we admired the wonderful panorama of the city. An obligatory point of the trip was free time on the Market where we bought souvenirs and tried the famous Kazimierz roosters. The last point of our trip was the castle in Janowiec, where we visited the ruins of the defensive castle of the Firlejs. Each trip gives us an opportunity to learn about a part of our history and the charms and beauty of the Polish land.
